Rodolphe Caillaux (1904-1990)



Born in Montmartre , the 11 November 1904 Rodolphe Caillaux is known for his paintings of landscapes, portraits and genre scenes. Familiar Basque he often painted; He also directed for the Paris Mint medal Maurice Ravel. A street bears his name to Saint-Jean-de-Luz.


The artist made his debut at the Salon des Independants in 1928. He entered the Salon d'Automne in 1932. With the war he moved to Pau in 1940. It helps organize the Autumn Salon Bearn. He returned to Paris in 1947. He remains close to Pau was inducted as a member of the Royal Jurançon of Viguerie in 1953 to the rank of dignitary.
